i don't read... because i'm dyslexic and i get too frustrated reading books... however i do like stories, so sometimes i opt to use audio books... even that though can be annoying, because they tend to read them in a way that to me at least makes me feel like i'm and idiot, i hate when they're saying things like "hello i'm patrick and i'll be reading to you today..." just wondering if anyone else has that feeling...

What are you reading and how are you liking it? Once you finish it, tell us if you would reccomend it.

I am reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy

The writing is unique and very descriptive. I haven't gotten very far yet, but so far McCarthy has painted a dreary picture of a post-apocolyptic world where a man and his boy are trying to survive. They are following a road to somewhere...or to find something, and I can't wait to find out exactly where they are traveling to.

thanks for reading.

oh susan, your mother

made shivers up your spine

created you from the blanket ice

that she founded in the spare room

wrapped tight

oh, bound by time

dear body of mine,

couldn't you take these last few breaths

precisely in sync with the church's chimes

left somberly in your debt

forever until we'll have met

face to face in that forever place

you know, I was brought to life.

delivered and conceived at the same time

yeah.

my guitar has a broken string.

so i wrote a poem

---------------------

If I weren't here.

Would I be campaigning in the bay

Fighting for the rights

Of people to have a life

Regardless of their actions

Or would I be liberating third world countries

At the point of a gun

Making sure they were aware

Of the American dream

Would I be doing lines off the sidewalk

breaking windows

slashing tires

Trying to find anything

Rogues Gallery

Swirling colours fill a palette painted charcoal grey,

Drawing eyes toward a sanctuary near but not beholden.

An architect’s gentle hand weaves the mastery of love,

Veiled behind her telling smile, the face of a thousand masks.

In place of a brushstroke, a soul descends,

Carrying with it the eternal dream of awakening.

“It is not for the spectator to decide this;

The architect’s hand bends to her own will and no one else’s.

Let the one who is willing to receive ...

For Tomorrow

Colored wings and tufts

of upturned grass that

fold under bare feet;

Summer's smells and

all the things imagined

more than felt; We

grow up, grow old,

grow silent, and

we don't dream

for tomorrow

anymore.

In one

bittersweet

assurance,

We will be mourned.

Flea Market

Parched breaths spoke silence,

lightly labored in the morning air.

Wrinkled hands tilled usefulness

and the old man shuffled forth.
