is warmonger a real word?

I'm very wary over the idea of any military organisations "giving aid" to countries. While I somewhat half-heartedly concede that it's good when any government tries to offer help to other nations, I nonetheless remain suspicious because this help is often bound up in the use of increased violence and intimidation to force its own vision of what help is. I'm much more interested in what NGOs and communities are doing on the ground about this new volatile situation.

I think it's really good that they're offering medical aid and other supplies...how can that be a bad thing? This new situation in Georgia sounds a bit weird to me. I've been trying to follow it all and I don't have a firm opinion on the whole thing, but I see nothing wrong with providing aid to countries. I think it was good that the US tried to help in Myanmar, and that it was sad how cautious they were to accept the aid.

I agree with Adam. If the aid was being offered by something/someone other than the military, it would be great.. but since it's military...

You don't send out the military to do a job like that unless you're trying to say something.

oh, russia. i guess it's nice of us to help georgia a little, because they are technically our allies (i think, right? i remember reading it somewhere... i should probably do some more reading on this subject before i make an opinion haha), but it's not like we can really fix the situation without extreme action, which we won't risk taking.
