3.0 is my "average/'meh'" score. Anything above ranges from pretty good to perfect. Anything below ranges from pretty bad to not listenable.

My rating score goes like this:

5 - Closest to perfect as an album can get (since I don't believe in a truly perfect album)
4.5 - Amazing
4 - Very Good/Exceptional
3.5 - Good
3 - Pretty Good/Acceptable
2.5 - Average/Decent
2 - Below Average/It's ok
1.5 - Meh.....
1 - Bad/Horrible
0.5 - Just.....die.....

Luckily, I don't give too much 2 or below scores because I try to stay away from stuff that I'm sure I won't like.

my rating scale:

10 ~ perfect....basically a useless score because i wont be giving it out. it just serves to be the topmost measuring guide.
9-9.9 ~ as good as things get, downright awesome music
8-8.9 ~ pretty damn good, just a few flaws
7-7.9 ~ decent, but not amazing
6-6.9 ~ kind of lame, but listenable at some points
5-5.9 ~ about as bad as something can get while still being listened to by me
0-4 ~ chances are good i wouldnt have listened to anything scoring this all the way through
