my guitar has a broken string.

so i wrote a poem

If I weren't here.

Would I be campaigning in the bay
Fighting for the rights
Of people to have a life
Regardless of their actions

Or would I be liberating third world countries
At the point of a gun
Making sure they were aware
Of the American dream

Would I be doing lines off the sidewalk
breaking windows
slashing tires
Trying to find anything

If I weren't here

Would I have ever known that you had such an amazing plan for me
Would I have ever suspected the way it was
Would my hands have been wasted in pursuit of myself
Rather than broken in following you

If I weren't here

Would I be flying under the radar
Trying not to piss off
A whack-a-mole army
And tasting the sand of a cyclic nightmare

Would I be doing the same thing
In some other place
wondering How and why you're so good
broken in following you

Would I still love you the way I do
Would I still hurt
Would I still Bleed
Broken in following You
