| Thanks. Our house didn't take too much damage. The fence is obviously gone, and some trees are gone, but the only damage actually done to the house are some missing shingles. We faired pretty well. I was surprised. The lead up to the hurricane wasn't bad, it was pretty exciting. The hurricane itself wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I was expecting chaos and hysteria, but it wasn't bad. Loud, the boards on the windows had shit banging up against them, and some of the rain was being leaked through the window/window air conditioner.
Here's some videos from before it went down:

| Thanks for the pics. We had our storm last year here in the northwest, with winds at like 130mph. I actually enjoy storms, but they suck for the outcome. I feel for anyone who gets trapped in one, as we were stranded in my town for a week with no power or gas. | |

Yeah, that's definitely hella good. I was noticing the single shots thinking to myself that's awesome.

| that looks pretty fuckin' bad matt, the telephone poles and all that.
fix your roof really fast or the risk of serious damage is still there. I know our roof caved in some days after charlie hit. but that was a pretty old house anyway.
and yes, good to see you're not dead!

| wow, i'm glad you stayed safe! ugh i so wish i was in texas for this. my aunt has been remodeling a house right on the water down there and her porch blew away, which kind of sucks. i talked to my parents and we didn't get any damage at our house, though, probably because it's not so close to the coast. i love a good hurricane. | |

| yeah, it was still alive. The water was shallow enough though that it couldn't really swim anywhere. Up along the curb was the only place where the water was deep enough for it to be fully under water. I went back later and it was gone, not sure if someone killed it, it swam into the drain, or someone took it to water.
There's more damage that I missed. yesterday we passed a truck that was down in the ditch, halfway under water. There's a movie theater by us and the whole front of the building came off. It was crazy.
