So, about eight hours ago I made a post about the disappearing stuff. -- guess what!!! it disappeared. *mutters*

okay. so.

LATE Sunday/Early monday... the forum died.

I was talking to Mark about it at the time on Aim.

Here is our conversation.

(two things. the timestamp is EST time; also in AM in case you aren't familiar with the time format -- I use firefox as my browser, not sure what Mark uses. That may be the difference in error messages)

About 20 minutes later, the forum was back up. I didn't notice if any posts were missing at that time, but my only guess is there was a problem with the forumotion servers/database causing a problem here. (obviously) -- Then yesterday evening is when people started noticing that posts were 'empty'.

I honestly don't know what caused the problem, but it's my guess when the forum went down, that was when shit hit the fan.

Of course this is all my own speculation, I've not gone to the forumotion main page and checked anything out. If this is just a bunch of jibberish from the mouth (fingers) of a blathering fool, then I apologize.

"That was when shit hit the fan" is my best friend's favorite expression. She says it all the time.

I got those errors for a while too, but the board was back pretty soon, blank/disappearing posts and all.

clearly free boards = problems. this isn't the first time we've had a shitty server.

It's been up for a couple days, haha. Still in the process of making it look good. Pretty sure the style that's on there right now is just going to be temporary.

You guys are all still welcome to come! Only 11 people have joined so far, but that's more than I thought would, haha.

Board moves are just so annoying. Until this place is shut down I am sticking here.

well. I don't think we should wait for this place's inevitable demise before we do something about it.

and this place isn't exactly hoppin'. it's still fairly new.
