how do YOU see yourself on Oh Lovely?

since the other thread had categories that people vote for us in, i'm wondering how each of us sees ourself. our real self might be quite different than the person others perceive us to be, or maybe not.

i see myself as:

very nice
very helpful
loves to burst out laughing at others comments
gets hurt easily by others, but working on it
always wishes more people liked me

if this thread idea is stupid, i guess "creates stupid threads" could be added. lol

I guess I can contribute even though I'm new.

I see myself as:
Extremely polite.
Extremely respectful of other's opinions and beliefs.
Can be somewhat flirty (I'm a single guy, what do you expect?)
Pretty knowledgeable when it comes to music.
Diverse when it comes to music taste.
Not very political.
Usually steers clear of intense debates that don't involve music.
Very easy to make laugh.

this is kinda neat.
and this is also just how I see myself in life, as a whole.


I think I'm a keeper of peace,
out-going,
sarcastic.
I attempt to be an optimist,
but I can get annoyed pretty easily.
I laugh at basically everything.
I care a lot about other people,
and I try and be helpful.
I can be quite flirty,
but mostly just friendly.

I'm 'that guy'

you know the one I'm talking about. you go to a party (or something similar) and you see the weird person
"Who the hell is that?"
"oh, it's just that guy"
"that guy?"
"You know that guy the creeper. He's harmless"


I try to make fun, but I'm not funny (at least not funny enough...)
I'm usually too serious
I tend to 'do my own thing' but don't we all?
I like to be as helpful as possible

I honestly don't feel like I really make any sort of contribution on the boards except putting up music for people to check out, or hooking people up with an album they may have wanted. (Which doesn't happen very often)

i think i'm sort of like the awkward one who's like out of the group a little bit? but i've been here since 2004, i just never really found a group/made many relationships outside of posting. but i like it here!

I'm kind of back and forth sometimes. I actually am pretty similar to Kirsty. I don't really have any close relationships with anyone here. I think most of the people here are really cool, and I really enjoy posting here.

I feel like I could just kind of describe myself as other people in real life tell me I am, and for what I see myself as. I don't think most people here really know me all that well, so I'll just kind of paint a picture of who I am.

I'm extremely patient... if you knew me in real life you would find I rarely ever get angry. One of my coworkers has tried for over a year to get under my skin. He is extremely obnoxious, and does things to intentionally irritate me. He has never gotten me to the point of me raising my voice, although one time I splashed water on him. Nothing was said, but I never got that angry at someone in my life, so... yeah. I'm pretty patient and carefree.

I have a nice comical dry sense of humor. I don't really share my humor online all that much... but if you were ever around me you'd hear lots of dry jokes, and probably lots of Office quotes, and weird comic book references that nobody would ever understand.

I'm also very quiet a lot, a lot of people think I am very shy... which I am. I have somewhat low self esteem when I am around people I don't know. When people spend long periods of time with me they realize I can be very loud and extremely weird. I'm total opposite to the quiet guy they know at church. I like to keep that wild side of me a secret for those who want to get to know me.

Basically, I'm like a little kid. I'm very lovable. I like to avoid conflict. I never get mad at people. I respect people. I love God most of all, I love Brittany as well, and I have a passion for music composition and worship with my instrument.

I probably sound so full of myself, but I'm not at all. I sometimes dislike things about me, but I am totally okay with who I am.

This probably breaks the rules of the thread, but this is at least brushing the surface for those who don't know me.

Also, this post of mine might say that when I am open I am very sensitive. Heh.
