| This is one of my favorite holidays If work and school didn't prevent it, I'd spend this whole month watching horror movies, carving pumpkins and eating candy. What are you all going as? (If you are dressing up at all) And what will you be doing that night? And I want pictures! | |

| shit...i've gotta work 4-10pm, but i AM taking candy over to the 90 yr old lady's house and giving the trick-or-treaters some. gonna have me some fun! i've always liked halloween. our neighborhood has houses all lit up in orange lights and spooky stuff on their lawns (coffins, ghouls, etc) plus fall here is so beautiful.
today's paper said that our country spends ....dang....i forgot... either 6 million or 6 billion on halloween related things. WOW!

| A couple of the others in my commune made pumpkin soup last night, so they carved it out into a lantern and I guess we'll light it tonight. No Halloween parties for me, unfortunately, but I might enjoy some wine tonight. |

| I hate halloween. My views are pretty well summarized by Lewis Black: - Quote :
If you're an adult and you're planning to wear a costume on halloween..... don't. I will find you, I will hurt you. I don't know why.. it was deemed to be a necessity among a group of adults that, for some reason they didn't grow out of childhood. It's not and adult holiday, it's a holiday for children. That's who it's for. I don't even know why we celebrate it here in New York. It's a harvest holiday, and we don't harvest shit. It's a holiday for children because children want to dress up all the time, so you have to go 'nope, this is the night, so.. shut the fuck up.' You're an adult and you can put on a costume whenever you want. You don't need permission anymore. If you wake up next Tuesday and you feel like being batman, go for it. You go into work, the boss says "Who are you?" and you go "I am Batman, that's who I am, who are you?" --- I hate halloween. It's always shitty. As a child it was always raining, snowing, or just too cold. As an adult, it just seems ridiculous. I can dress up whenever I want. I can buy candy whenever I want. I can carve pumpkins, provided I can find them, and if not, I can carve cucumbers, whenever I want. I don't have to wait until halloween. It's a holiday celebrating nothing that everyone goes apeshit for. If your favorite holiday isn't Christmas, it's halloween. As an adult, it's ridiculous to me to go crazy for a holiday for children. You're not a child, what does halloween really still hold for you? I'm a halloween scrooge.

| I don't normally dress up. I will wear one of my Punisher shirts, but that's it.
Brittany and I usually watch a couple movies. This year we plan on watching Silence of the Lambs and Secret Window.

| I'm not being anything that I know of yet. I thought about getting a nametag that says "HELLO, MY NAME IS" and just filling in some name of some person that I'm not. Then I'd be that person. Ok, so I stole that idea from the Office.
Actually, no lie, I think I'll sit at home tonight. I hurt worse than I did all week.

Might this be the same Blue's Clues I remember seeing (but not watching) on TV when I was about twelve years old? |

| Last night I went with a friend to this halloween bash at one of my college's local campuses. It was a little bit lame, but I met some really neat people and saw several of my boys perform in their ska band. Then we went with some of the new people I'd met to chipotle to cash in on their free burrito deal. (if you put tin foil on yourself in some fashion, you get a free burrito, the line was extremely long)
I wasn't feeling well so I went home early but I think the rest of them were going to go to other parties.
Tonight is the real party, me and my friend are going to this club in DC where she used to work. They are having a massive huge halloween bash with dancing and DJs and fun stuff. I'll post pictures later.

| Eh I went to a party that was a little disappointing on Wed. I wasn't really wanting to dress sexy at all so I got a spider costume that was pretty fun to walk around in lol. I watched some scary movies on tv and hung out with a few people another on Halloween. | |
