OUCH

can only type with one hand so I'll keep this brief. had my thumb surgery yesterday- they went in and made repairs on a few sections of ligament, tightened things up & sewed it all together. the surgeon said the ligament was hanging on by a tread, and couldn't believe it didn't completely split off in the 2 years since the ski accident that caused it. they didn't have to graft in an outside ligament which is a relief.

I'm in a lot of pain eben with hydrocodone & vicodin but at least I have an excuse to be lazy & watch movies all day. here's some pix pre and post surgery.







probably won't be posting much until I get the cast off (6 weeks) since it takes FOREVER for me to type (this post took me about a half hour). so, everyone have a great holiday season... spike the egg nog & buy your siblings the new faceless cd. you'll be so glad you did.

I remember when I almost lost my finger with an electric hedge trimmer. It was hard to type for a few days. The recovery for that is a lot quicker though.

Ouch indeed. I hope you heal quickly! Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, it'll help the healing process. Or so I'm guessing.

And give me a call sometime, we need to catch up.

the nastiest thing I ever did to a finger was sticking my thumb in a belt sander. yours seems much worse. recover fast!
