I want a huge update on your band. Who are the members? What have you been doing lately? Recording soon?

Have you gone out in public in the last week without a hat on?

The current members are me on guitar/keyboards, my brother Jeremy on drums, Trish Chisholm on guitar/bass/keyboards, Sean Reed on guitar/viola, and just recently Andrew Mcilwain on guitar/bass (he's the former guitarist/back-up singer for Miles From Vega).

We're taking a month off to write new music and then we're playing our first show back on my birthday (Jan. 25th), and after that we're getting new t-shirts/stickers/buttons, doing a small tour in Michigan and Canada from Feb. 27th to March 2nd (some of the bands we'll be playing with on those shows include These Arms Are Snakes, Clouds, and BloodShotEye), and then we're recording our first full-length CD through the entire month of March which I'm really excited for.

I think our sound has improved so much since our last recordings, and it's been so long since people could hear new music from us... that's about it. I really think 2009 is going to be a big year for us... you can hear some old music at: http://www.myspace.com/sunlightascending

Have you gone out in public in the last week without a hat on?
Hahaha yes. I'm not much of a hat person anymore, but it's super cold here so a lot of the time I wear my awesome Zao beanie.

how old are you?
I am 17, turning 18 in January.

favorite birthday party.. describe it.
Haha umm... They're usually not very memorable, but I guess my 17th birthday party (which was actually a week or two after my actual birthday). There was lots of alcohol, a bunch of good friends, and circle pitting in a tiny basement, among other things....

do you love Jesus?
Well, I haven't been a believer for a while now, so I guess the easy answer to that question would be "no", but at the same time I'd like to think he was a great person, and I respect anyone who chooses to follow that path. But I don't feel at all the same about God, religion and all that as much as I used to.

purple or pink?
Purple.

converse or vans?
Converse fo sho.

girls or women?
Girls.

Do you have any new years' resolutions?

Do you believe in any form of supernatural reality?

How tall are you?

What physical traits might your dream girl have?

And what personality traits does she have?

One night stands and casual relationships. Yea or Nay?

What motivates you in your life?

Do you have any plans to go to college? If so, what to study? If not, then what?

on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being on your knees bawling, how sad were you that I wasn't there? hehe

how do you do in school?

do you find yourself attractive?

have you had your eyes on any ladies recently?

what do you love about yourself?

Do you have any new years' resolutions?
I want to tour across America with my 4 best friends
I want to start writing again (music reviews, screenwriting, etc.)
I want to quit my shitty job
I'd like to become a vegetarian
I'd like to get my driver's license and buy myself a nice little car
I want to visit the Netherlands and Switzerland with my friend in June
I don't want to be lazy and constantly in a bad mood anymore
And finally get myself a fucking girlfriend, for real this time.

Do you believe in any form of supernatural reality?
Lately, I've had my doubts on most of that stuff, and I'm to the point where I probably won't be changing my opinions anymore. I would love more than anything to believe that we're not alone or that some sort of "god" exists out there, and that after death there's more. But I don't see enough hard evidence to prove any of it...

How tall are you?
I'm 5'8"

What physical traits might your dream girl have?
She would have to be smaller, with a cute face, and long brown hair is always good.

And what personality traits does she have?
She has to be nice, smart, chill and somewhat quiet. Basically, someone who's easy to spend time with.

One night stands and casual relationships. Yea or Nay?
Nay

What motivates you in your life?
My friends give me the most motivation, and so does being able to play music and (hopefully) have people enjoy it, but unfortunately not much else does. Again, I'm a pretty lazy person, and that needs to change somehow...

Do you have any plans to go to college? If so, what to study? If not, then what?
Yes I do... I'm taking a year or two off after I finish high school to pursue my musical interests, and then I would love more than anything to study screenwriting when I go to college.

are you ever coming back to florida?
Get this: I had a chance to come down there tomorrow for a week, but my older brother didn't feel like buying me a ticket on such short notice. Apparently his best friend just moved down there, and eventually my brother is moving in with him and some friends, so I'll probably be down there a few times within the next year or two though...

did you roam downtown disney or did you just pop into ghirardelli and leave?
I roamed around quite a bit haha. Virgin Records is amazing.

on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being on your knees bawling, how sad were you that I wasn't there? hehe
Hahaha... I'm gonna say a 5 or 6... I was disappointed, but at the same time I kinda figured that with all the people there, and at the time we showed up, the chances of running into you were slim to none. So it's all cool.

how do you do in school?
This year, not so good. :/

do you find yourself attractive?
Nope. haha

have you had your eyes on any ladies recently?
Yes, for like the past 6 months.

what do you love about yourself?
That I'm nice, and open-minded about anything. That's about it.

what's your favorite food?
Mexican food is the best. I could eat chips and salsa everyday.

do you ever cook/bake?
Eh, very rarely. I need to start cooking more...

what's your favorite animal?
Cats are my favorite, but I love dogs and any kind of bird as well.

do you want to have kids? uh, why?
Maybe just one... I'd definitely like to adopt a kid when I'm older too.

what's your favorite book?
The Gorilla Artkit, if that counts haha. I love the Dune series, and I need to read them again.

are you into poetry at all?
It depends, I love reading lyrics and writing my own stuff, but usually just when it has to do with music.

are you into theatre at all? do you like musicals?
I've never really been into either. I haven't been to a play in like 5 years haha...

I have fun making those stensils and stickers mostly, and stuff like that haha... there are so many different things

if you had unlimited money, where you would live and what clothing would you wear?
I would probably live in Iceland or Norway... and I'd be wearing the same clothes as I am now. I hate spending unneccesary amounts of money on clothes.

do you drive? if so, what car? if not, why not?
I don't drive yet, but I'd love to have a minibus someday. Basically I don't drive because I'm scared of the road and because I'm too lazy to go out and get my license.

thoughts on decorative pillows?
Hmm... I've never thought much about them :/

who best represents what kind of person you want to be?
Probably my friend Andrew. Definitely the nicest and coolest person you'll ever meet.

where do you feel most nostalgic about?
Living in my old town of Southgate and all my old friends there.

what websites do you visit most often?
Myspace, IMDB, Decoy Music, Youtube, Flickr, Deviant Art, Project Playlist, and here.

what sorts of weather do you like the best?
Cloudy days after it just rained during the summer, when it's still really warm outside. I love those days.

did you have a "happy childhood"?
It was stressful haha... but I guess you could say it was happy.

where do you want to live for the rest of your life?
Hard to say, I guess just somewhere close to people I know... I always wanted to live in Iceland though.

how often do you masturbate?
lol... Not too often. That's about as detailed an answer as you're gonna get.

where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I honestly don't know. Probably living in a decent apartment somewhere, hopefully playing in a successful band and making a living doing something I love...

if your phone rang right now, who would you wish it was?
Hmm... Zack, Trish, or Sean... them losers haven't called me yet today.

when you procrastinate, what do you do instead of the actual work?
I doodle WAY TOO MUCH.

what do you think of student-teacher crushes?
Depends on what you mean... if there's an acual relationship involved I'd be kind of creeped out, but if it's just a crush or something, I don't have much of an opinion. Then again, my friend says he's going to marry his strings teacher someday; he's 16 and she's 30, but I won't be surprised when that happens haha...

what do you spend most of your money on?
Musical equiptment and fast-food.

what's your favorite smell?
Anything grape-scented or flavored.

aside from being creeped out, what would you do if I showed up at your door?
I don't know about creeped out, but I'd definitely be surprised haha. I think it's be cool though...

what's your biggest fear?
Heights!

how do you feel about PDA?
Um... you're gonna have to tell me what it is first. Haha.

what do you think has been the best moment of your life thus far?
Last weekend of break, two days ago. All I can say it that it was awesome and totally illegal.

tell me about a dream you've had.
I haven't been able to remember my dreams lately, so I don't know. I'll answer this if something comes up though haha

Public Displays of Affection. which can range from holding hands to making out, and I'd hope no more than that =P

also, I figured you were a doodler.
