I'm now an uncle

Big week for the Hughes family. Engagement, mission trip, new baby!





This is me coming straight from the SeaTac Airport from getting back from Mexico. As you can somewhat see, my hair is rather greasy, no real showers for a week.. also, I'm tan.

We're all happy for the new baby. Mayah Elizabeth Wisdom. I am planning on going to see them again today after work. My sister was worn out last night, so we didn't get to visit quite as much as I would have liked.

At one point I wanted 8. I've cut that in half by now.

I'm sure I wanted kids at some point, but I've cut them all now.

Yeah, well, that's cool.... I can't help but wonder if you'll change your mind. Not that I'd try to convince you that you should or anything, that'd be dumb.

oh oh oh i totally agree! babies reach maximum cute like after they turn one and beyond, before that they're adorable but not super cute.

hahah, I can't really agree with that... I guess I'm just a babyhater.
but I'll admit, once they hit like 6 months, they're not as bad as newborns, cute-wise.

Yay, congrats Ben! Being an uncle/aunt must be fun. I wish I could be an aunt,...but that probably won't happen till after I have my own kids. Which won't be as fun.

I usually agree. I was surprised at how cute I thought she was though. I'm really close to my sister, so I immediately felt very close to this baby. I can't explain it. It's sort of like how I love Brittany so much, that I even love her imperfections.

I'm excited to have my own kids now. I was so happy when I saw the baby. I will enjoy he growing up in such a musical family. Rhianna (sister/new mom) plays flute/organ/piano, Kyle (new father) plays guitar, I play bass/guitar/piano, other sister Becca plays piano, Becca's husband Chase plays drums, my dad plays everything listed above, we all sing... it will be a running bet to see what instrument is her primary. She danced a lot when I played bass lines around Rhianna while she was pregnant.
