| giving: sister: and since she found this already: I'm working on this: It's still a work in progress (the two look very off because they're at different angles, but the nose in the bigger one is actually shorter (cause in the first one, its drawn to like half way down the cheek..)) and I may just start over. The board that I drew the first one on (the smaller one) is smoother and blends much nicer than the bigger board. Luckily, since there's almost no line at all, it's easy to fix things on it. It's waaaaaay too bright as of now, but i haven't added any of the charcoal yet (i use charcoal on the black board because it gives it a different texture and a slightly different color, and keeps it from looking like there's 6 inches of border) I'm gonna see how this one progresses a bit more before I decide to just restart though. parents: cousin: no idea.. Getting: probably a bunch of t-shirts and hopefully a bed.. but i'll update once Christmas actually comes. | |

| I have a G series Takamine. Probably one of the best acoustic guitars I've played. I will probably keep it forever. I got it for a steal, $230 on ebay, and no shipping. | |

| It's really only my parents I have to get gifts for, which is weird since they haven't spoken to me for about two months. I'm generally shit at being creative, but maybe I'll take a plunge and try making them something. |

| Finished. E: This picture also demonstrates the need for the charcoal on top of the black letramax board.. it makes it look matted without being matted. I still need to put some glass in it though. I can't spray fixative on it (fixative, for those not art savvy, is basically a clear top coat to keep the charcoal/pastel from smearing/dusting off/etc.) because spraying fix on white makes it turn almost clear, so I have to find a way to lift the glass off the image in the frame.. it may be tricky, but it'll look fucking phenomenal when it's done. I also came home from work to discover a bed where my old bed used to be, and it was very exciting. I'm excited to sleep on it. I also had a great idea for my sister.. I'm getting her pre-1900 copies of Alice In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, and when I wrap them I'm going to wrap them three times, the outer wrapping will be to my mom, then when she unwraps it it'll say "clean cup clean cup, move down!" and be addressed to my step-dad, and same thing with him, and then finally addressed to my sister. I may make some other Alice reference, but that one fits quite perfectly. | |

| Since my sister won't be around for Christmas, we had Christmas today. I received: Those sheets go to the gift I got early from my parents: To my parents: From both me and my sister. My mom flipped out. Too bad Texas is supposed to be overcast for the next week.. what a fucking horrible place to live. To my sister: The scarf, chocolate (chili flavored..) and likely unpictured cribbage pegs are from my parents. They also bought her plane ticket to Colorado for my cousin's wedding. from me: the huge green remote, which she liked more than I expected. Sleeping Beauty, which she also liked more than I expected. The previously posted portrait, which she said she potentially liked more than the other drawing, which made me quite happy.. and a 1900 copy of Through The Looking Glass and What Alice Found There, and an at least 1898 of Alice In Wonderland, which apparently at one time belonged to Grace Brittain, according to the front page. Then for myself, since I really wanted these things, i got: they're currently out of stock in 9.5, but when they come in, they're all mine. | |
