I don't want to get married. At least not right now.

I want to meet a lady.

Requirements:
Must love Evil Dead II as much as I do.
Must be cuddly.
Must be outgoing/fun.
Have a reasonable respect for alcohol/drugs, and at least be ok with the responsible use of both.
Must be into music.

Ok sorry to bring this up in another thread, but seriously, for people who really truly honestly believe in "the one," there's no reason NOT to get married at 19, if they've found the one! That's another reason why the whole idea is kinda bullcrap.

in my experience, other people can usually come up with a better list of characteristics than you can anyway, and it's less work. just go out there and like what you like, worry about Evil Dead later.

You can always suddenly and indelicately leave them later when you conclude it's not working.

Type is a terrible sounding word. And yeah, if I had a type, I probably would be bored with 'em...

does "your type" just mean that there are certain attributes that you tend to be more attracted towards? because I believe that. Or is there more to it?

well, I suppose "types" include certain attributes, but everybody has preferences. to think you have one specific "type" that you're into is nonsense though, in my opinion. that's kind of what I think of when I think of having a type.

When I hear someone say "he/she's not my type," they're usually talking about their hair color, clothing style, group they fit into, etc. "She's not my type, she's a cheerleader." "He's not my type, he's a hick." Crap like that.

I agree. I've always wanted someone who was into the things that I am into, and act a lot like the way I act. I found someone like that, but they turned out not to feel that way about me. But I'm still holding out hope.

It's funny because my friends tell me they can't help me find a girl because they have absolutely no idea what kind of girl I like. I'm relatively nothing like any of my friends.

I tell my friends all the time that they need to set me up on a blind date. Then one day I realized that I know wayyyy more people than they do, and every single young guy they know, I also know. How "blind" would that be?
I don't want to be with a guy that's like me. He'd be annoying as hell.

I don't meet people like me very often, so when I meet females that are similar to me, I usually fall pretty hard for them. It's a curse. But I also hate being set up with a girl. I'd much rather meet one on my own because I never end up liking the girls that I'm set up with.

I can't imagine that anyone I know could find me a good date. it kind of takes a lot for me to like somebody.

Same here. My problem is that I rarely fall for people, but when I do I end up falling very hard for them and it's hard for me to get over them.
