| Obama. Because I really want to voice my disapproval of McCain/Palin. I'm not positive that Obama will be the best thing for this country, but I'm sure he'll be better than the other option. Even though Maryland is already an Obama state, I wanted to vote anyway to get my voice out there. | |

| Vote by how you live, not by selecting which Commander-In-Chief of the world's largest military industrial complex you wish to help spend the next four years "responsibly managing the Empire." |

Why? I mean, not that I buy into the democratic lie of voting myself, but if you feel the vote is a responsibility, then why not damn well vote for who you want to rather than letting the system sway you? If everyone thinks that way about their third party candidate, how will they achieve power for those they wish to see elected? That is, of course, hypothetically speaking, assuming I bought into the democratic lie of voting. Which I do not. |

| i think its up to pre electoral polls to determine who the votable candidates are.
if you know that either obama or mccain is going to win i think it is your responsibility to vote for the one whom you think is not as bad as the other.

I agree. why not make your vote have a bit of an impact? giving third party candidates 5% of the votes isn't helping anybody. it's throwing everything else off. especially in a close election like this. SHRUG. I asked matt to vote for me.

| The question is, what if I don't want Obama or McCain to win? The point is that I feel like a lot of people will vote for McCain just because they don't want Obama to win and vice-versa. I'm sorry but disliking McCain isn't a good enough reason for me to vote for Obama and disliking Obama isn't a good enough reason for me to vote for McCain. Why should I vote for one of two candidates when I honestly don't want either one of them to be president? That's why (if I had ever gotten around to register), I probably would have voted for an independent. If it takes points away from Obama or McCain, then boo hoo on them. The point is that I still voted for who I wanted. But I guess I'll shut my non-voting mouth now. | |

| mhm, and that's your opinion. I just think that voting with the intention of putting someone into office is a better use of a vote. but again, that's me.

| looks like ohio IS voting for obama. today's paper had an article about the electorial college. yea.. now i remember why i never registered until 4 years ago. THEY are the ones who vote for the president anyways. popular vote is NOT always a determining factor. the article said 3 times a president was chosen who did not win the popular vote of that state. so yea...my one vote is sure gonna count. sheesh! voted for obama. i wanna see what would happen if a black man gets in. i dunno. if i wasn't registered in the first place, i sure wouldn't register now. but at least i got to vote for the school levy, whether or not a casino should be built in ohio, and some environmental issues. | |
