what did you eat today or are gonna eat?

well, since i was writing about eating in another thead, i thought i'd start this one. we all gotta eat!

just got back from my girlfriends house. she picked me a juicy ripe tomatoe that i'll have later on bread w/some mayo. yes! thanks anna!

then later....off to Harry Buffalo for a buffalo burger, my other friend, alicia, who says buffalo meat is great. not so sure about that, but i guess i'll find out. my friend anna said she ate alot of buffalo meat out west and it's not so greasy as regular burgers. i had better have a huge rum/coke to wash it down with. lol

well, I'm back to living on my own. Which means eating horribly. I puked earlier today probably due to really bad nutritional habits.

Ramen, applesauce, Doritos, XXX Vitamin Water for today.

I put some homemade bean salsa with some brown rice into tortilla wraps.

I had one of those smuckers peanut butter and jelly uncrustables. but I put it in the microwave. I guess you're not supposed to do that.

then I made frozen pizza and frozen mashes potatoes. very good together!

I don't eat very healthy when I'm at other people's houses.

I don't really eat much.

I need to eat more, I only had some coffee, nachos and most of a microwave asian chicken noodle thing earlier.

so yea, i washed 1/2 that buffalo burger down with 2 rum/cokes.

i dunno..... i kinda felt sorry for that buffalo. don't think i'm gonna
eat any more of those. he needed to be free in the wild, not on
someone's plate.

PS: on the bright side, my gal pal treated
me (belated b'day gifts). meal + a watch and
wallet from spain. she's an angel.

a bowl of cereal -- apple cinnamon cheerios
a slice of cheese
glass of orange juice
a taco -- contents: meat, cheese, lettuce, hot sauce


need food.

Pizza. Fish.

breakfast: berry vanilla granola blend and pineapple with plain yogurt
lunch: couscous flavored with herbs and carrots, green popsicle!
dinner: white corn chips and southwestern salsa

today was a good day for food

I don't eat too healthy when I'm at home either.

I just ate what I consider to be one of my best invented recipes.

I prepared some couscous in the usual way (putting some in a pan, adding boiling water, and then leaving to stand unheated while covered for five minutes), then while that was being done I fried some red onion with diced tofu pieces in some non-dairy margarine. While they were frying, I added a spoonful of minced garlic, and an appropriate amount of cayenne pepper and turmeric to flavour the tofu. I then added all of this to the couscous, together with some vegetable stock, and then heated the entire mixture on low until the excess water was absorbed.

I'm in sheer awe at the simplicity of the whole thing, it was only meant to be a side dish for me and ended up being a taste sensation. I recommend repeating it, and those who don't like tofu might be able to replace it easily enough wih veggies or mixed beans.

i'll have to try your recipe at some point. i haven't eaten a thing yet. i ate my breakfast last night at denney's after the concert, so i was good until lunch today. lol

but now i'm gonna go and get an iced coffee or something as i head out.

Nice. I've been messing around with Tofu lately. It's good stuff.

I had the new Big Taste Taco and a grilled steak taco from Taco Bell. I now love Taco Bell again. The Big Taste Taco is so good.

Taco Bell gave me E-Coli and I ended up in the hospital for a week.

Had delicious chicken & shrimp stir fry.

breakfast: leftover homemade pesto with whole wheat pasta
lunch: chinese takeout (egg roll, fried rice with vegetables)
dinner: i don't know yet but i'm meeting some friends for dinner, so hopefully something good.


to everyone who cooks tofu: what is your favorite way to prepare it? i've tried a few different things and never really loved anything that i made.

I had a grilled chicken and cheese sandwich, then a bowl of cocoa puffs.
cookie dough icecream with hot fudge and nuts during my break at work.
and a crunchwrap supreme on the way home.

oh, and chocolate covered strawberries I got from work. yummm yum.
